Beakman's World On Tour November 12, 2005 - February 12,2005
Come and discover a science exhibit where you will discover a place where anything goes and where you’ll find out how the
world works. This wacky exhibit is full of funny characters, lively music and interesting facts about science. Beakman,
guides visitors through exciting adventures in science and nature. You will ask questions and find the answers through
hands-on experiments and exhibits about space travel, the rainforest, the human body and prehistoric life.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade
This annual parade down Fourth Street, from Coolidge Avenue to Ogden Avenue, honors Martin Luther King, Jr.
with floats, marching bands and an awards ceremony to recognize those who have contributed to the Dream.
Usually the Saturday just prior Dr. King's birthday (January 12). Sponsored by the SecondBaptistChurch on
